Distribution System Residuals—Is “Detectable” Still Acceptable for Chloramines?

Taking into account what is now known about organic chloramines and distribution system nitrification, it is important to discuss the value of measuring “detectable” chloramines and to define best management practices for maintaining the distribution system when the disinfectant also provides a food source for biological growth.
