We have assembled the following list that may have utility for social workers. A variety of sources were extremely helpful in compiling this list. These include both the Gopher jewels site and list cwis.usc.edu and gopherjewels @einet.net and Laura Hunt’s dquo;Sources for Womens Studies/Feminist Infor-mation on the Internet, dquo; postings on SocWork and other lists, as well as Veronica searches and aimless wandering in the electronic forest. These resources are available through the use of Gopher on Internet. Gopher is an information retrieval tool that allows one access to information residing on Gopher servers throughout the world. If you have not used Gopher before, check with your service provider to make sure that you have access to the procedure. If you have access, the service provider should have basic back-ground materials on using Gopher. A number of publications provide detailed information on the use of this procedure, for example, The Internet Unleashed (1994). Internet and this list of resources are in a constant state of flux. We have previously distributed this list in a variety of forums and have attempted to keep it reasonably up-to-date. The directions provided were functional during the first week of December 1994. The situation may very well change between then and the time at which you attempt to follow them. If you discover such changes or you find new Gopher accessible resources for social workers, we would appreciate your forwarding that information to us at gahms@cunyvm.cuny.edu or leave a message on the machine at
