90 male undergraduates responded to the Macho scale, Attitudes toward Women Scale, and a measure of disapproval of cross-sex behavior in children. Scores on the Macho scale were inversely correlated to those on the Attitudes toward Women Scale and positively related to disapproval of cross-sex behavior in children. Boys received significantly more disapproval for cross-sex behavior than did girls. Possible cross-cultural differences in performance on the Macho scale were noted.
