African continent were conducted in two periurban communities of Kitwe, Zambia between March 1998 and January 1999. For these trials, the education element was augmented by a novel behavior change component, Motivational Interviewing, to investigate its effectiveness in improving adherence rates in the use of this safe water treatment and storage system.
