This paper reports on the development of a curriculum on aging for students in grades 1 to 6. The participating teachers reported on a structured questionnaire that the curriculum had a positive impact on students' attitudes toward aging and older adults although students attitude tests revealed significant positive change on only a few items. The discussion of these findings concludes that the curriculum may be satisfying an important educational goal as perceived by the teachers but that the intervention period may have been too brief for the attitude tests to reveal change. Finally, it is noted that positive attitudes were revealed by all students in the control group.
