The youths are looking for the right opportunities and are willing to spent their efforts to gain experience and independence. There are various educational institutes in India that the youths enrolled and be equipped with tertiary education certification. With the varied educational institutes that are available for education and training, the youth of the country are practically ready for the world of employment and the working life. However, the gap between youths that are employed and unemployed widens. The featured causes of the youth unemployment are further particularized that India is driven by a multifaceted array of causes. Education, the educational agencies and the education sector as a whole play an important role to uplift employment of youth. Since the aim of the paper is to help finds out the role of education in addressing unemployment of youths, it focuses on sequential steps that could be taken by different agencies of education to close the gap between education and employment of youths in the country.
