Traditionally, fingerprint application design has been limited to specific areas, such as the power key or touchpad in different devices. Additionally, low-frequency usage has not been promoted for real-time protection and enhanced economic effects. This study proposes an industrial framework that creates a functional sensing-fingerprint keycap and software. To verify that the framework is workable in the overall system, a mainboard controller and host application program are implemented. From the captured fingerprint images, the proposed framework yielded excellent responses. It is demonstrated that the system is functional and the captured fingerprint image quality is acceptable. In the future, it is envisaged that this framework and implemented system will be able to allow the development of difference device and the evolution of other industrial applications.
