The purpose of this study was to explore and examine the meanings, structures and essence of the life experience of Muslim women. The study’s goal was to describe a deal and comprehensive description of how Muslim women use Islam to promote gender equality and improve treatment within their daily lives. The critical importance of gleaning a better understanding of Islam and the perceived in visibility of Muslim women motivated the researcher to undertake this study. The research study adopted a quantitative research approach. Data were collected by means of questionnaire. Inductive analysis allowed for emergence of pattern and themes in relation to Muslim women and gender equality within Islam. An Islamic theoretical model provided a conceptual participant to discuss acquiring and achieving gender equality within Islam in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State without separating their religious from their respective traditions and culture.
