Study on the gasification characteristics of wool in supercritical water for hydrogen production
Puntos clave
The study aims to evaluate the gasification characteristics of wool in supercritical water for hydrogen production.
Utilized supercritical water gasification (SCWG) to test wool samples.
Applied Cu-3% Al2O3 as a catalyst to enhance gasification efficiency and total gas yield.
Measured gasification efficiency and total gas yield outcomes.
Achieved a gasification efficiency of 95.71% and hydrogen production yield of 42.72 mol kg−1.
Demonstrated a high heating value of 119.26% post-catalysis with Cu-3% Al2O3.
Significant enhancement in efficiency and yield when using the catalyst was observed.
Resumen
SCWG of wool achieved high gasification efficiency (CE = 95.71%, HE = 119.26%) and total gas yield of 42.72 mol kg −1 , which were further significantly enhanced by Cu-3% Al 2 O 3 catalysis.
