Location of biological compartments by high resolution n.m.r. spectroscopy and electron microscopy using magnetite-containing vesicles

The encapsulation of magnetite within single bilayer phosphatidylcholine vesicles and their use in high resolution n.m.r. spectroscopy and electron microscopy studies of intact biological systems is described.
