Summary The structure of the azobenzene crystal has been examined. The dimensions of the unit cell are . The cell contains four molecules. A remarkable feature is the nearly complete symmetry about the (20) plane, both in respect to the geometrical relations and to the intensities of reflexion by corresponding planes.
