On the consequence of a tropospheric CH4 increase to the exospheric density

It is argued that the past increase in tropospheric CH 4 of about 1 ppm should have caused an increase in the exospheric H atom concentration by about 30%, with a corresponding increase in the total density in the hydrogen‐dominated part of the exosphere.
