Unleashing new resources and entrepreneurship for the common good: A philanthropic renaissance

Abstract This review describes the major waves of change affecting philanthropy in the United States; discusses social entrepreneurship, venture philanthropy, and Internet‐based philanthropy; maps the catalysts of philanthropy; and outlines a scenario for action to capitalize on these changes.
