Modification and Performance Evaluation of the Faster-Than-Real-Time Hybrid Simulator

The basic capability of the long term dynamics hybrid simulator was described in the RP908-1 final Report 1, 2. As a part of the RP908-2 project, the capability of the simulator has been improved and expanded 3 The generator model was improved to a two axis model allowing the full representation of the subtransient and transient reactance values. The generator model now adequately represents the short term dynamics as well as the long term dynamics.
