Changes in Initial Teacher Training Students’ Perceptions of the Effectiveness of School‐based Mentoring over Time

This article reports research conducted among teacher trainees on the OU PGCE course, who were mentored in schools as part of their learning. The findings suggest that students become more discerning about their mentors' skills as time progresses. The mentors' perceptions are compared with those of the students.
