This restricted-access repository preserves an IMS archival copy of the following publication: Kosuge, S. (1986). Some Considerations on the Family Coralliophilidae with Descriptions of Four New Species. Bulletin of the Institute of Malacology, Tokyo, 2(4): 70–75. The paper contains the original descriptions of Babelomurex yamatoensis Kosuge, 1986, Coralliophila carnosa Kosuge, 1986, Coralliophila roseocephala Kosuge, 1986, and Hirtomurex vertigo Kosuge, 1986, currently treated as Coralliophila vertigo (Kosuge, 1986). It also includes taxonomic remarks on Mipus tomlini (van Regteren Altena, 1950). The present IMS copy is preserved within the IMS bibliographic archive because it includes the full scanned plate sequence available in the consulted source issue, including Plates 24–29. This is curatorially relevant because the restricted MolluscaBase editor file appears not to include the actual plate material for Babelomurex yamatoensis. The IMS copy therefore provides a fuller visual reference for checking the original figures, associated plate captions, and nomenclatural context of the described taxa. This record was prepared within the bibliographic reference framework of the Institute for Molluscan Systematics (IMS), Tenerife, Canary Islands. It is intended for taxonomic verification, nomenclatural review, historical bibliography, and supervised educational use by IMS researchers, collaborators, and students. Access to the full file remains restricted in recognition of potential copyright and redistribution limitations.
