Resumen

Abstract The calculation of derivations of the invariants of the molecular polarizabilities from experimentally measured Raman intensities is critically discussed. Intensity formulae of an earlier paper are reviewed and a simplification introduced. Intensity measurements for the compounds CCl4, CHCl3 and CH2Cl2 are tabulated and discussed in relation to a bond polarizability theory. A modification of the simple theory is investigated.
