SUMMARY Artificial cryptorchidism results in a short-lived increase in testicular hormone production which is evidenced by changes in the accessory reproductive organs. These changes include increases in organ weight, in citric acid and fructose production, and in cell height. Subsequently, there is a fall in hormone production, which continues at a fairly constant level.
