Christopher Perreira Christopher Perreira The University of Kansas cperreira@ku. edu Christopher Perreira is Assistant Professor of American Studies and Latina/o Studies at the University of Kansas, where he also serves as director of the Latino/a Studies Minor. His work has appeared in The Journal of Transnational American Studies. He is currently working on two research projects. The first is a monograph, Manufacturing Prisoner-Patient Consent: Race, Memory, and Violence in the Medical Archive, which traces transnational discourses and representations of racialized criminality in literature, scientific journals, and medical documentation in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The second project examines Latina/o speculative fiction, film, and culture in order to explore critical understandings of citizenship, property, and justice through environmental imaginaries.
