In recent years, the construction of high-speed railway in China has developed rapidly. However, the nonlinear characteristics of electrified railway load make it possible to cause power quality problems when it is connected to the regional power grid. In order to study the power quality risk of railway traction power supply system connected to the power grid, the Lalin Railway is taken as an example. Based on PSCAD software, the simulation model of each traction station and its surrounding power grid along the Lalin railway is established. Considering the system operation mode, traction station access mode and traction load factors, the power quality problems such as harmonics, three-phase voltage unbalance factor and voltage deviation are analyzed in depth, and the characteristics and risk points of power quality problems after the connection of Lalin Railway to the power grid are clarified. The research in this paper can provide a theoretical basis for subsequent power quality management.
