Supervised field trial of combination product of fluopyram + trifloxystrobin (Luna sensation 500 SC) in chilli and soil showed initial residues of fluopyram 4.0 and 12.04 mg kg-1 and trifloxystrobin 2.08 and 5.96 mg kg-1, respectively, at standard dose and double dose. Residues dissipated following first order kinetics and were above LOQ (0.05 mg kg-1) even after 60 days at both doses in chilli samples. In soil, residues of both were below LOQ (0.05 mg kg-1) at harvest (60 days). The metabolites, fluopyrambenzamide and CGA 321113, were below LOQ (0.05 mg kg-1) in all the samples (chilli and soil). A pre harvest interval (PHI) of 14 days is proposed for chilli fruits for combination product. Half-life ranged from 21.5–27.4 and 23.2–25.1 days, for fluopyram and trifloxystrobin, respectively, in standard and double dose in chilli. Present data can be used to establish MRLs of fluopyram and trifloxystrobin in chilli fruits by regulatory bodies.
