The reforms of Dutch health care have failed, according to an investigation by an all party committee of government ministers. The committee made a scathing attack on the government, political parties, and health organisations, claiming that all those who had been involved in the reforms had their own “agendas, strategies and aims.” It said that at times political opportunism had triumphed over decision making, while pressure groups had enjoyed too much influence.
