The rapid growth of the internet and digital technologies has significantly transformed the way businesses operate, leading to the emergence of e-commerce as a dominant business model. E-commerce refers to the buying and selling of goods and services through electronic platforms, primarily the internet. This research paper aims to examine the structure, types, advantages, challenges, and future prospects of e-commerce business models. It further analyses how e-commerce has influenced consumer behaviour, market dynamics, and global trade. The study is based on secondary data collected from research articles, government reports, and industry publications. The findings suggest that e-commerce has revolutionized business operations by providing convenience, global reach, and cost efficiency, while also presenting challenges such as cybersecurity risks, logistical issues, and regulatory concerns.
