Abstract The rise of those identifying as “spiritual but not religious” (SBNR) creates challenges for parents transmitting values without institutional support. This study evaluates Nearness, an eight-week digital, peer-facilitated program for SBNR parents. Using pre/post surveys (n=43) and interviews (n=18), findings show increased meaning in life, spiritual well-being, parental competence, and shared rituals. Parents reported greater confidence in naming values, reduced stress through embracing imperfection, and deeper support from cohorts. Framed by the imago Dei, the study suggests scalable peer-groups can foster spiritual formation and value transmission in postreligious contexts.
