We are pleased to present the fourth volume, second issue (April–June 2026) of the JAPA Academy Journal, which features a diverse collection of articles across multiple clinical disciplines. CONGENITAL LUMBAR HERNIA: A CASE REPORT AND LITERATURE REVIEW In this case report and literature review, the authors describe a prematurely born patient with multiple congenital abnormalities who presented at birth with left lumbar swelling. The study described the clinical presentation and outcomes of 67 patients and found that the anatomical location of foreign body lodgment significantly influenced both clinical presentation and management.2 ENDOSCOPIC MANAGEMENT OF GASTROPARESIS: THE EVOLVING ROLE OF GASTRIC PERORAL ENDOSCOPIC MYOTOMY IN CLINICAL PRACTICE Gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy has emerged as a minimally invasive, pylorus-targeted therapeutic technique. In this review article, the authors discuss the efficacy, safety, durability, and therapeutic applicability of this procedure in the treatment of gastroparesis.3 IMMUNE CHECKPOINT INHIBITOR-ASSOCIATED MYOCARDITIS AND RESPIRATORY FAILURE IN PREGNANCY: A TRANSLATIONAL REVIEW OF CARDIO-ONCOLOGY AND MATERNAL–FETAL IMMUNOLOGY In this review article, the authors discuss the potential cardiovascular and pulmonary complications associated with the use of immune checkpoint inhibitors in pregnant women. They conducted a literature review to summarize the current evidence and explore the potential mechanisms by which pregnancy may increase the risk of these complications.4 We extend our sincere appreciation to our contributing authors, peer reviewers, and editorial board members. Their dedication and collaboration continue to advance the mission of the JAPA Academy Journal and uphold the highest standards of scholarly excellence.
