All groundworks that had the potential to impact upon archaeological deposits were undertaken whilst under the observation of an archaeologist. Mechanical excavation was conducted by use of a tracked 360 excavator, which was equipped with a toothless grading bucket. The archaeological works comprised the monitoring and recording of the mechanical excavation of a cable trench. The cable trench excavations penetrated into Modern deposits, to a maximum depth of 0.71m below the Modern ground and they did not reveal any archaeological remains.
