We examined college students’ acceptance of ChatGPT as a learning tool in higher education. Students generally viewed ChatGPT positively. They found the tool intuitive to navigate. Perceived usefulness also scored highly, recognizing ChatGPT’s potential to enhance their academic performance. However, satisfaction levels were notably lower, due to dissatisfaction with subscription fees, which became a barrier to complete user acceptance. Perceived usefulness positively correlated with satisfaction and moderately with continuance intention. Ease of use showed inverse correlations with both. This suggests that students may perceive excessive ease of use as trivializing their learning process or diminishing academic rigor.
