The legal industry has historically been characterized by processes that are both time-consuming and costly, hindering accessibility for many. The "existing system" of manual legal consultation relies heavily on direct access to lawyers for drafting and interpreting documents. This traditional workflow is often paper-based , expensive , and slow. Professionals must manually search through vast volumes of text to find specific information , a process prone to human error, fatigue, and oversight. Furthermore, this reliance on manual research and drafting from old templates creates significant inefficiencies and limits instant access to critical information. To address these significant challenges, this project introduces "LegalAI": an AI-Powered Legal Assistant designed to streamline and modernize legal workflows. The core idea is an AI-driven legal chatbot that assists users in drafting, understanding, and retrieving information from legal documents. The platform's approach is to combine the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipeline. This system provides a secure, personalized environment where users can get instant, document-based legal assistance. By moving from a generic, manual process to one that is highly personalized and based on the user's specific uploaded content, the platform dramatically improves efficiency and data accessibility
