Weatherhead III University Professor of Harvard University when he died in December of 2008. He was a preeminent political scientist in such subjects as civilian-military relations, political development, comparative government and the global clash of cultures. Professor Huntington was a good friend of Political Science Quarterly and its Editor and we mourn him deeply.
