This study investigates the intersection of global investment flows and gender inclusion by analyzing cross-border venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) investments in women-led startups across emerging markets, with a particular focus on India. Despite increasing international investor interest in high-growth entrepreneurial ecosystems, women founders continue to face systemic funding gaps shaped by structural barriers, cultural biases, and risk perceptions. Using an exploratory research framework supported by empirical analysis, this article identifies patterns of capital allocation, sectoral preferences, and regional disparities in funding women-led enterprises. It critically evaluates the role of inclusive finance initiatives and policy interventions in addressing these inequities. The findings highlight a persistent misalignment between capital deployment and gender-diverse entrepreneurial potential. The study proposes strategic pathways-including investor education, gender-responsive investment frameworks, and institutional reforms-to foster a more inclusive and innovation-driven investment ecosystem. The research contributes to the discourse on sustainable entrepreneurship, inclusive finance, and global capital flows by offering actionable insights for investors, policymakers, and ecosystem enablers aiming to promote equity and innovation across borders.
