Agri-tourism is an important tool for the conservation of traditional agricultural practices as it provides economic incentives for farmers to keep up and promote their heritage methods. It ensures a better relationship between rural communities and tourists through awareness and appreciation of traditional farming methods, organic production, and sustainable land management. By combining tourism with agriculture, indigenous knowledge systems, including crop rotation, heirloom seed conservation, and animal husbandry, are maintained and translated into contemporary settings. The present study aims at understanding how agritourism contributes to rural economic growth, examine successful agritourism models globally, and to propose strategies for scaling agritourism as a sustainable rural development approach.
