The Analysis of Auroral Emission Bands from the A^2II State of N^+₂.

A study of the derived molecular constants, possible constituents, band profiles, relative band intensities, and isoelectronic sequence correlations leads to the conclusion that the strong unidentified infrared auroral emission bands arise from the long-missing A2ll level of the N2+ molecule.
