The article analyzes the indicators of socio-economic development of agriculture in the Donetsk region in conditions of armed confrontation in the Donbass. The obtained results testify to the necessity of introducing measures that will contribute to stabilization and further development of rural areas. Taking into account the great importance of the village and the agrarian sphere of production in providing the population with high-quality food products, the development of the determinants of human life and agricultural production objectively requires the continuous reproduction of the proper conditions for their effective functioning. Measures have been identified that will promote effective social development of agriculture in the Donetsk region and increase its competitiveness through the effective use of natural and human resources, stimulation of the development of small and medium-sized agricultural producers, and the involvement of rural families in commodity agricultural production.
