Abstract

Volume 4 (D10–D100) of the Monistic Continuum Model (MCM) develops the foundational time architecture of a continuum‑based cosmos. Building on the medium ontology and vortex mechanics established in earlier volumes, this part formulates the mechanical principles by which local tension dynamics give rise to the observable behaviour of time. Instead of treating time as an independent dimension or geometric coordinate, the MCM interprets it as the rate at which tension states evolve within the medium, linking temporal phenomena directly to the structure and dynamics of vortex configurations. Chapters D10–D30 introduce the core definition of time as tension change and establish the mechanical criteria governing time flow and time dilation. D40–D60 analyse the statistical origin of the arrow of time, the influence of gravitational tension gradients, and the behaviour of time in extreme vortex structures. D70–D90 extend the model to cosmic scales, showing how expansion, large‑scale tension flows, and free tension dynamics (light) generate global and local variations in time rates. D100 synthesizes the full temporal framework into a unified conceptual structure that connects space, time, and light within a single continuum ontology. This volume provides the first complete and systematic formulation of time within the Monistic Continuum Model and serves as a core reference for the theoretical structure of the MCM. It establishes the mechanical foundations for understanding relativistic effects, cosmic evolution, and the dynamical role of light as unbound time flow.
