Pilar Alcaide

Pilar Alcaide is Professor and Vice Chair of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She previously served as Professor of Immunology, Director of the Immunology Graduate Program, and Assistant Dean for Faculty Development at Tufts University School of Medicine. Her research examines interactions between the immune system and cardiovascular diseases, with a focus on cardiac fibrosis, remodeling, and T-cell responses in heart failure.
