Background: Ayurveda describes Agni as the force governing digestion, metabolism, and systemic balance. Modern bio photonics—the study of ultra-weak photon emissions (UPEs) from living cells—parallels Agni's role in bioenergetic regulation. Objective: This study examines correlations between Agni and biophotons in regulating metabolism, physiological coherence, and neurocognitive function. Methods: A narrative synthesis of Ayurvedic texts and contemporary research on biophotons was conducted. The hierarchy of Agni— Jatharagni (digestive), Dhatvagni (tissue), and Bhutagni (elemental)—was compared with biophoton roles in metabolism, oxidative stress, and neural activity. Results: Both regulate metabolic efficiency, energy conversion, and systemic harmony. Disruptions in Agni parallel oxidative stress and altered biophoton emissions. Ayurvedic interventions like Deepana-Pachana and Rasayana may enhance biophotonic coherence, aiding homeostasis and cognition. Conclusion: Linking Agni with biophoton science offers new insights into metabolism and health. Integrating Ayurveda with biophoton-based tools may foster quantum diagnostic models and advance holistic healthcare.
