Individualised Homoeopathic Management of Premenstrual Syndrome: A Case Report Using Synthesis Repertory

Premenstrual syndrome (PMS) refers to a cluster of physical, emotional, and behavioural symptoms that occur in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and subside with the onset of menstruation in reproductive age except during pregnancy, lactation. It affects a significant number of menstruating individual women worldwide, leading to functional impairment and reduced quality of life. Case Summary: A 20-year-old female patient comes in Obgy OPD with symptoms such as pain in lower abdomen before and during menses, nausea, vomiting, during menses, also irritability mood changes. The case was diagnosed of PMS {Premenstrual syndrome) assessed with daily charting method and recording of symptoms and after repertorisation by synthesis repertory treated with Pulsatilla 200.The case shows improvement. The causal attribution of changes was assed by modified Naranjo criteria for homoeopathy. This article provides a comprehensive review of current research on premenstrual syndrome, including its epidemiology, aetiology, clinical presentation, and homoeopathic management strategies by using synthesis repertory. The review aims to enhance understanding of clinical presentation of PMS and homoeopathic aid among healthcare professionals and researchers, facilitating the development of more effective interventions and support for affected individuals.
