The article examines specifics of determining the priorities of Romania’s foreign policy at the global level. The main strategic goals and objectives that the country faces in international relations are analyzed, as well as its role and influence on the world stage are assessed. The aim of the work is to identify the hierarchy of global guidelines of Romania’s modern foreign policy, for which a content analysis of the main strategic documents in this area, as well as a discourse analysis of the main foreign policy ideas, was carried out. Special attention is paid to the analysis of Romania’s relations with the European Union, NATO and the United States, as well as the country’s positioning in international organizations. It is concluded that at the moment the country is far from being fully integrated into world politics, although it has some achievements for this.
