This research explores the impact of Financial Technology (Fintech) on the consumptive behavior of teenagers in rural areas, focusing specifically on Desa Cumedak, Kecamatan Sumberjambe, Kabupaten Jember. With the rapid advancement of digital financial services, there is a growing need to understand how these platforms influence youth spending patterns outside urban environments. The objective of this study is to examine how the use of Fintech services shapes teenagers' financial habits and to identify the role of digital lifestyle as an intervening factor. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method involving respondents aged 15 to 24 years. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and causal analysis to examine behavioral patterns and relationships between variables. The findings indicate that frequent use of Fintech correlates with a higher tendency toward impulsive and lifestyle-driven spending among rural teenagers. The digital lifestyle was found to be a key mediating factor, especially through exposure to social media and online shopping platforms. The study recommends implementing targeted financial literacy education in schools and local communities to foster better digital financial management among youth. This can serve as a preventive measure against the negative impacts of uncontrolled consumptive behavior facilitated by Fintech access.
