Cash waqf is a very potential instrument in generating economic development and the well-being of the community. In the state of Perak, Wakaf Perak Ar Ridzuan (WPAR) which was launched in 2015 aims to overcome the issue of lack of cash funds. However, the collection of cash funds is driven by the efficient promotion and implementation of waqf projects. This study aims to explain the implementation of WPAR cash waqf for the year 2016 to 2021. This study is qualitative through a semi-structured interview protocol with officials of the Perak Islamic Religious Council (MAIPk) and agency staff involved in managing cash waqf. The results of the study found that the implementation of cash waqf focuses on four main areas, namely economy, education, health and religion. In the economic field, boat waqf fund and waqf business center (WBC) can increase the income and standard of living of the people in Perak. While in the field of Education, the focus is on endowment of student residential buildings and science programs. While in the field of health, hemodialysis center facilities have been built and in the religious aspect, a fund has been created for the development of maahad tahfiz and the development of the knowledge of the Quran. Even so, the lack of human resources in promoting cash waqf causes the delivery of WPAR information to be limited and the collection of cash funds to slow down. The findings of this study prove that the increase in WPAR fundraising is influenced by a promotional strategy supported by adequate human resources. The implications of the funding, development and use of waqf funds can be optimally utilized in the community. Therefore, serious attention from the authorities in providing sufficient energy resources, cooperation and support from all parties to ensure that the goal of establishing WPAR in empowering and sustaining cash waqf can be achieved.
