Abstract

Motivation: Acquisition of multi-parametric quantitative imaging data in the head and neck region is time-consuming and highly susceptible to artifacts due to subject motion. Goal(s): An ultra-fast method was developed to simultaneously achieve multiparametric quantification of M0, T1, T2, T2*, B1+, and ΔB0 in the head and neck. Approach: 3D SSFP-MOLED sequence was used for multi-parametric quantitative imaging of the head and neck. The method was tested on phantom and in-vivo, and stability was verified through scan-rescan experiments. Results: The 3D SSFP-MOLED multi-parametric quantification results were in good agreement with the reference method and had good reproducibility. Impact: 3D SSFP-MOLED can achieve ultra-fast multi-parameter quantification of M0, T1, T2, T2*, B1+, ΔB0, with the characteristics of no distortion and self-registration, and has the potential for auxiliary clinical diagnosis of head and neck diseases.
