This article analyzes the phonetic features of the dialect of the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region. The dialect exhibits a number of phonetic phenomena that differ from the Uzbek literary language, in particular, peculiarities in the system of vowels and consonants, sound changes, phonetic processes (assimilation, elision, reduction, metathesis, etc.). The basis of the study is four texts recorded in the Almalyk dialect.
