The article discusses the relationship of bilingualism in the Uzbek dialects of the Namangan region. The close relationship of the words in the dialect under study with the Tajik dialects is revealed on the basis of the dialect of the village of Varzik. In it, the words specific to the Tajik dialects that have been assimilated into the Uzbek dialects of this region are divided into lexical groups such as wedding, funeral rites, folk games, proverbs, and are analyzed. Their importance in enriching Uzbek dialectology is shown on the basis of specific examples.
