The Effectiveness of A Counseling Program Based on the Satir Model in Reducing Marital Bullying Levels Among A Sample of Abused Women

Objective: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a counseling program based on the Satir model in reducing marital bullying levels among abused women. Curriculum: The study sample comprised 30 women who had high levels of marital bullying and expressed a desire to participate in the counseling program. They were randomly assigned to two groups: the experimental group (15 women) who underwent a counseling program consisting of 14 sessions at a rate of two sessions per week, and the control group (15 women) who did not participate in any program. To achieve the study's objectives, the researcher constructed a scale. Results: the study results indicated statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups on the marital bullying scale in the post-test, favoring the experimental group. This suggests the effectiveness of the counseling program. Moreover, there were no statistically significant differences in the mean responses of the experimental group during the follow-up assessment after one month, indicating that abused women retained the therapeutic effects. Recommendations: Develop therapeutic guidance programs aimed at training wives on how to deal with the marital violence and bullying they experience, and work to assert themselves and raise their self-confidence. الهدف: التعرف على فاعلية برنامج إرشادي مستند إلى منهج ساتير في خفض مستوى التنمر الزواجي لدى النساء المُعَّنفات. منهج الدراسة: تكونت عينة الدراسة من (30) سيدة ممنّ حصلنّ على مستوى مرتفع من التنمر الزواجي وكانت لديهنّ الرغبة في المشاركة في البرنامج الإرشادي، تم توزيعّهنَ بشكل عشوائي إلى مجموعتين: المجموعة التجريبية (15) سيدة ممن خضعن للبرنامج إرشادي والمكون من (14) جلسة، بمعدل جلستين أسبوعياً، والمجموعة الضابطة (15) سيدة، لم يشاركن في أي برنامج ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة، تم بناء المقياس من قبل الباحثان. نتائج الدراسة: وأظهرت نتائج الدراسة إلى وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين المتوسطات الحسابية للمجموعتين التجريبية والضابطة على مقياس التنمر الزواجي في الاختبار البعدي، ولصالح المجموعة التجريبية، مما يشير إلى فاعلية البرنامج الإرشادي، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط استجابات أفراد المجموعة التجريبية في قياس المتابعة بعد مرور شهر، مما يشير إلى احتفاظ النساء المُعنّفات بأثر العلاج. التوصيات: تطوير برامج إرشادية علاجية تهدف إلى تدريب الزوجات على كيفية التعامل مع العنف والتنمر الزواجي الذي تتعرض له والعمل على تأكيد ذواتهنّ ورفع مستوى ثقتهنّ بأنفسهنّ.
