The paper examines the problem of evaluating the quality of professional self-presentation of translation students carried out within the framework of the state final certification of graduates majoring in 45.03.02 “Linguistics”. The aim of the study is to develop and test a system of criteria for a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of professional self-presentation of future translators. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the systematization and detailing of self-presentation assessment criteria adapted for translation activities, taking into account both verbal and non-verbal aspects of communication. The author proposes a diagnostic tool including 10 criteria, each of which is thoroughly described through structural parameters. As a result of an empirical study based on 28 self-presentations of translation students, the most and least developed aspects of their professional training were identified. It was found that the highest results were achieved in the field of digital literacy and general linguistic competence, while the greatest difficulties were associated with voice culture, verbal reaction to questions, and adequacy of self-assessment.
