The synergist approach between artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies is transforming the sphere of cybersecurity to address the historical issues of data integrity, threat detection, and resilience of the system. The predictive analytics and adaptive defense capabilities of AI supplement the decentralized, tamper-resistant structure of blockchain, which combine to offer a multi-layered approach to cyber defense. The recent uses cover such critical areas as financial systems, medical care, autonomous vehicles, and smart environments, which proves that such integration can reduce advanced persistent threat, as well as provide transparency to digital ecosystems.Nonetheless, even with favorable trends, there are still problems, such as scaling issues, interoperability, bias in the algorithms, and expensive energy use. In addition, the issues around ethics and governance frame the necessity of crossdisciplinary structures that would provide balance between innovation and accountability. New studies have shown that cybersecurity ecosystems in the future will more often implement AI-blockchain technologies with quantum computing and next-generation networks that open the way to secure, adaptable, and human- friendly digital agendas. The article provides recent trends, applications, and gaps in research, and add to the discussion on anticipate, withstand, recover from, and adapt to cyberattacks.
