For decades the western world has experienced the loss of traditional crafts possibly leading to a sort of break of the intergenerational transmission of artisan building skills. This paper reports on some educational experiences developed with the scope of enhancing a countertrend in crafts for Heritage preservation and records material culture that is now-a-days at risk of going lost. This has been developed through a collaboration between the Iuav University of Venice and the local artisans’ association.
