Abstract

Humor is a multi-dimensional and complex social phenomenon. From classical philosophers and intellectuals to contemporary theoreticians of various disciplines, such as biology, anthropology, psychology and sociology have been dealing with it. Each and every one of these scientific branches have enquired regarding the nature of humor and its experiential partner, laughter.
