Abstract

Abstract Growth of trees in fertilized and unfertilized plantations was compared six years after fertilizer (20-10-5) was applied by airplane. Radial growth and basal area in the second and third year were greater in fertilized than unfertilized trees and plantations, respectively. Growth of trees of dominant and codominant crown classes was significantly greater than that of intermediate and overtopped ones in fertilized plantations.
