Ulcerative colitis is a chronic, non-specific, recurrent and inflammatory disease mainly involving the colorectal mucosa. In recent years, its incidence has been on the rise worldwide, and it has gradually become a common disease of the digestive system and difficult to treat. Because its pathogenesis is not clear, there is no specific drug in treatment. Compared with the limitations of western medicine treatment, traditional Chinese medicine has the advantages of definite curative effect in treatment, small side effects and low recurrence rate. In the TCM syndrome differentiation, spleen and kidney Yang deficiency is the most common. This paper summarizes the TCM treatment research of spleen and kidney Yang deficiency ulcerative colitis in recent years, which provides new ideas for the clinical research and diagnosis and treatment of this disease.
